Diversity at Posti

2nd floorCollaborative space Kupla
15 / 10 / 7 €
Tummaihoinen postin jakaja kerrostalon aulassa.

The exhibition tells about Posti’s responsibility and the job description and titles of Posti employees then and now.

Equality, diversity and responsibility have a long history in Posti. In many ways, Posti has been a significant employer. Women were able to take up posts at Posti as early as the 1860s. Posti has had an equality programme and working group and has been employing immigrants and people with foreign backgrounds since the 1970s. In 2009, a multicultural operating model was created.

Posti cooperates with many different organisations and communities regarding environmental and social responsibility. For example, Posti has been Helsinki Pride’s partner for several years.
Posti operates between the sender and the recipient – it delivers and transports. Its core function has remained the same for almost 400 years, but the postal items, working methods, means of transport and systems have changed, as has Finnish society and the needs of its citizens.

In the exhibition, the postal workers own voices are heard. Discover info about sustainability in Posti in the real parcel locker. Can you distinguish between old and current job titles for postal work?

The exhibitions at the Collaborative space Kupla are positional and reflect on the phenomena of communication, game, post and digital life from different perspectives.
