Turkka Kuusisto

CEO 2020–2024

Turkka Kuusisto (1979–), M.Sc. (Tech.), was appointed CEO of Posti in February 2020. During Kuusisto’s term, he sought to increase the company’s growth, especially in the parcel, eCommerce and logistics businesses, which were seen as the future of Posti. By then, the numbers of letters being posted had decreased significantly due to digitalisation.

Under Kuusisto’s leadership, Posti opened parcel lockers across Finland, while there was also a focus on environmentally friendly transport solutions, such as electric vehicles and sustainable logistics.

Numerous external crises occurred during Kuusisto’s term that affected the company. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly increased Posti’s parcel and eCommerce business, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine affected logistics chains. Posti improved customer satisfaction, employee commitment and responsibility activities.

Kuusisto contributed significantly to Posti’s long-term strategy and future growth in the growing parcel and logistics sector.

Before taking an executive position at Posti, Kuusisto worked in managerial positions at companies such as Lindorff Group. In January 2024, Posti announced that Turkka Kuusisto would join Finnair as its new CEO no later than July 2024. He left his post at the head of Posti in March 2024.
